TLC FOREVER: New Documentary to air on Lifetime/A&E Television
Known for their powerful and award-winning documentary storytelling, Lifetime and A&E will simulcast the new two-hour documentary TLC Forever, chronicling the journey of the top-selling American female group of all time who led the way with their music, message, and their style. The special documents the revolutionary group that broke boundaries, influenced an entire generation and survived against all odds as T-Boz and Chilli tell their story for the first time in a feature documentary. TLC Forever is directed by Matthew Kay and is executive-produced by Academy Award-winning and Emmy Award-winning director Roger Ross Williams (The Apollo) and his production company with Emmy® Award-winning producer Geoff Martz, One Story Up. TLC Forever will simulcast on Lifetime and A&E on Saturday, June 3rd at 8pm ET/PT.
Formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1990, TLC consisted of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. Having sold over 85 million records worldwide, the group enjoyed success, scoring nine top-ten hits and winning over 35 major awards including Video of the Year Award for “Waterfalls” Billboard Hot 100, including four number-one singles "Creep", "Waterfalls", "No Scrubs", and "Unpretty". Accolades include nine top-ten hits, four career Grammy® Awards, five MTV Video Music Awards, and five Soul Train Music Awards. When Left Eye died tragically in 2002, the group faced not only immense pain and an uncertain future but also felt abandoned by the entertainment industry despite iconic achievements. Against all odds and through all the struggles, the group persevered with courage, love and unity, forging a new path to success, including launching a new tour slated for summer 2023.

Lifetime Presents Pride: A Seven Deadly Sins Story
Following the immensely popular Seven Deadly Sins movies—Lust, Envy, Wrath and Greed—Lifetime continues the anthology with a new sin and new movie, Pride: A Seven Deadly Sins Story. Executive produced by T.D. Jakes, Derrick Williams and Shaun Robinson, and inspired by actual events, the movie centers on the story of a famous bakery owner and reality TV star Birdie Moore (Grammy-Award winner, Stephanie Mills) whose past secrets threaten the enormous success she has achieved. Joining Mills are co-stars Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles as Birdie’s son, Gabe Moore; Keeya King as her granddaughter, Ella Boudreaux; and Grammy-Award winner Erica Campbell as Pastor Trey. Pride: A Seven Deadly Sins Story premieres on Saturday, April 8 at 8/7c.
The prior 7 Deadly Sins Lifetime original movies - Lust, Envy, Wrath and Greed – attracted close to 7 million total viewers in 2022.
Pride: A Seven Deadly Sins Story tells the story of reality TV star Birdie Moore (Stephanie Mills), whose carefully constructed world starts to crumble — like the baked goods that catapulted her to fame — when her family secrets are brought to light. To salvage her legacy, Birdie must let go of the pride that estranged her from her daughter. Birdie’s pride also prevents her from seeing that her son Gabe Moore (Thomas Miles) is actually a thieving opportunist and that her granddaughter Ella Boudreaux (Keeya King) is just a lost twenty-something trying to build up her life after some missteps. While pride helped drive Birdie’s success, it also made her blind to what was happening around her. Will Birdie finally be able to see and admit the truth, or face the consequences of her pride?
Pride: A Seven Deadly Sins Story is produced by Neshama Entertainment, T.D. Jakes Enterprises, DNA Media Group and RobinHood Productions in association with MarVista Entertainment. T.D. Jakes, Derrick Williams, and Shaun Robinson serve as executive producers along with Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer and Fernando Szew for MarVista Entertainment, and Arnie Zipursky and Suzanne Berger for Neshama. Pride is directed by Troy Scott from a script written by Felicia Brooker. Award-winning composer and music director, Ray Chew, is the movie's composer.
In addition to Stephanie Mills, Thomas Miles and Keeya King, the movie also stars Lucia Walters (Virgin River) as Shanice; and Jaime M. Callica (Ruthless) as Khalil. The Seven Deadly Sins movie anthology is inspired by novels from author Victoria Christopher Murray, who is a consulting producer on Pride.

About Black Girl Missing
When Cheryl (Garcelle Beauvais) gets into an argument with her daughter Lauren (Iyana Halley) over her desire to drop out of college, she initially thinks Lauren is simply ignoring her calls and texts, but Cheryl soon realizes Lauren is missing. While she attempts to get help from authorities and the media, they quickly dismiss the case, labeling Lauren as a runaway while they are all too consumed with another case – that of a missing white girl. Desperate to find Lauren, Cheryl and her 15-year-old daughter Marley (Taylor Mosby) enlist the help of a dedicated community of amateur internet sleuths to try to find Lauren. Cheryl also discovers the Black and Missing Foundation and is horrified to discover the disparity in how missing persons of color cases are treated with significant lack of media attention and law enforcement resources.
The movie also stars Linda Park, as Elise, a local reporter who tries to help Cheryl, against the orders of the news director. Derrica and Natalie Wilson, founders of Black and Missing Foundation, serve as consultants on the film.Black and Missing Foundation, Inc. (BAMF) has been established as a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring awareness to missing persons of color, provide vital resources and tools to missing person’s families and friends and to educate the minority community on personal safety. Garcelle Beauvais will also be featured in a new PSA in support of Black and Missing Foundation's efforts.
New York Known to the Christian Hip Hop community as Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Emanuel Lee Lambert Jr. is ringing in 2023 with a new name and self-titled album, Emanuel, that proves hip hop is not just for the youth. Emanuel, a sonic journey through Emanuel's entire career, including years spent as a classroom-trained percussionist, is released in partnership with Mixed Bag Entertainment.
Emanuel is available wherever music is sold and streamed on Friday, January 27, 2023.
The album Emanuel focuses on the intersection between two worlds. The world of Emanuel, his birth name, and Immanuel, the Hebrew name given to Jesus Christ. Boasting collaborations with Fred Hammond, Todd Dulaney, Aaron Cole, Dante Bowe, Tamela Mann, Maranda Curtis, Rich Tolbert, PJ Morton, Yolanda Adams, and more, this album reminds listeners that whatever their state or station of life, the greatest confidence one can have is knowing that God is "Immanuel," - The God who is with all through every season of life. The release of Emanuel also introduces the retirement of his artist name, Da' T.R.U.T.H., and the birth of moving forward under his given name, Emanuel Lambert. “Being older and wiser makes me feel more stripped down and vulnerable. Da' T.R.U.T.H. is strong, and he knows it. Emanuel is more like one of the guys. I have been thinking for the past four years that this is something I wanted to do, and this was a perfect time,” shares Emanuel.
GRAMMY NOMINATED & 4X STELLAR AWARD WINNER DA’ T.R.U.T.H.
REBRANDS HIMSELF AS EMANUEL AND RELEASES SELF-TITLED 12TH STUDIO ALBUM
CEO of Mixed Bag Entertainment, Gary Crockett, states, “Working with Emanuel has been exciting”. Seeing him along with the Gospel greats bridge the worlds of Gospel music with hip hop is a conduit to bring Generations together. This album speaks to the issues of life but giving an enormous celebration of hope in each song. ”With a career spanning two decades, Emanuel has sold over a quarter million records worldwide and toured or collaborated with some of Gospel and Christian music's premiere artists. As a leading voice in the music industry, he has been committed to using creativity in the arts to share his faith & life experiences. He has won four Stellar Gospel Music Awards and is GRAMMY and DOVE Award nominated.
Additionally, he serves as the CEO of the newly formed entertainment company, NXT Agency.
Emanuel’s lead single, “Set The Bar,” is a powerful and thought-provoking track that starts with an orchestral string composition. Upbeat and intense "Set The Bar" takes listeners on a journey from humble beginnings in the industry to his current status. He highlights one of the greatest challenges of longevity: the audience expects the artist to stay the same. In this heavily string-driven song, he makes an appeal, challenging his listeners to allow him room to evolve and grow as an artist.
The chorus, "I set the pace, I set the bar," keeps the focus on his intent to be a trailblazer. Over time, he has developed his own sound and wants his fans and supporters to stay with him as he seeks to mature the genre.
“Whole” is a reflective declaration in three parts. Emanuel begins with the Gospel rap and Hip Hop style for which he has gained an international reputation. Known for his unique instrumentation, he beings the song with a simple piano and beat instrumentation. As he sets the theme for the song, he wants the listener to focus on the lyrics. Section two is reminiscent of the early gospel hymn songs in which music was primarily created with voices and a keyboard instrument. In this section, Emanuel and Yolanda Adams utilize the Black music form known as Call and Response to draw the listener into this intimate moment. Section three returns to traditional Gospel, and the two artists drive the song to the end with an upbeat and celebratory declaration, "I Need Healing for My Soul."
“Tell Somebody” with Maranda Curtis opens with an intimate children’s moment that reminds us of a Sunday School lesson. Within seconds, we are shifted to an upbeat vibe with an Island feel. “Crown” features Todd Dulaney and Aaron Cole and is a spiritually awakening collaboration. Listeners hear the Dulaney worship sound, which is contemporary Christian in nature. Emanuel uses his unique lyrical gift to engage those listeners that might need a more urban spiritual moment.
Aaron Cole uses the purity and honesty of his voice to ensure that the text remains at the forefront of the song. "Kingdom” features Dante Bowe and is a standout declaration that the time has come for the Kingdom of God to rise.
The raw edge of Dante Bowe’s voice and the energetic lyricism of Emanuel activates a call to action that is hard to ignore.
Many believers will relate to the visual picture presented when Bowe sings about the stirring in his soul and the open fire burning in his bones. "Kingdom” puts these feelings into context by informing listeners that they are a notification that the time has come for them to rise.
Emanuel shares, "I craft music for a mature listener. If you love music, you will love Emanuel. If you love Christian hip hop but think you are too old to listen to it, I'm here to tell you that you're not. I want people to feel comfortable 'still liking this.'"

New York Stellar Award winning, Todd Dulaney releases a new single in collaboration with Bishop Hezekiah Walker, titled, "It's Working."

Dulaney begins the celebration by presenting the lyrics and theme in his well-known contemporary style. This section is reflective of an in-person Praise & Worship experience. "It's Working" includes the often-anticipated multiple modulations which are part of the Hezekiah Walker signature sound. This track includes all the components needed for an intense praise party. NASHVILLE, TN) - January 10, 2023 — Motown Gospel (a division of Capitol CMG/Capitol and Universal Music Group) announces the signing of award-winning artist LaTocha to an exclusive license agreement via her own label, Made Girl Music. A multi-hyphenate force in the music industry, LaTocha is best known as a member of the multi-platinum-selling R&B group Xscape, providing leads on some of the group’s biggest songs, including "Who Can I Run To” and “The Arms of the One Who Loves You.”
“It has always been a passion of mine to do inspirational music,” says LaTocha. “It has been my foundation, and that is very evident, even when I sing R&B music. I can’t escape that.”
For the powerhouse songstress, the interplay of music and faith began at Mt. Olive Church of God in Holiness, in her hometown of College Park, GA. She leaned on that foundation even as she became a household name in one of the biggest girl groups in R&B history.
“A hallmark of LaTocha’s successful career has been her love for gospel music and her strong personal connection to the Black church,” shares Monica Coates, Co-Executive Director, Motown Gospel. “I am excited for her fans—long-standing and new—to finally have a body of work that reflects those areas of her passion.”
Adds EJ Gaines, Co-Executive Director of Motown Gospel: “LaTocha has one of the most recognized voices in R&B, but she also has staying power and manages to maintain relevance in a marketplace that doesn’t always allow for that. I can’t wait for her fans to hear what she’s been working on.”
LaTocha is readying her debut inspirational project, slated for release this year. Fans can stay connected with LaTocha via her social media channels-- @iAmLaTocha on Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook. Information provided by CR8 Agency
