Coco Gauff’s semifinal win over Muchova
Coco Gauff advances!
The prodigy from Delray Beach was the youngest to play in a junior U.S. Open final when she was just 13. Now 19, she will play world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka in the U.S. Open women's final on Saturday.
Gauff had to wait for her berth in the final. In Thursday's semifinal match, environmental protesters interrupted play for nearly an hour. But the No. 6 seed couldn't be slowed down, eventually beating Karolina Muchova in straight sets 6-4, 7-5 to clinch her spot in the championship match.
