Kool DJ Red Alert Receives Honor For 40 Years in Hip Hop
New York- New York’s favorite DJ received several honors for his contributions to music and the Hip Hop culture with the ultimate red carpet, lavish celebratory dinner at Sony Hall in New York recently. A host of legends graced the stage such as, The Jungle Brothers, Special Ed, Red Man, Rakim, KRS- One, Dres of the duo Black Sheep and many others.
Emmis Communication, who gave a profound speech on his loyalty and outstanding work ethics, presented a plaque to Red Alert for outstanding work as well as The Violators Organization who followed up with heartfelt notes on how Red Alert not only helped catapult their musical careers, but was there on personal levels with unwavering support as an amazing mentor and friend.
Frederick Crute is responsible for many of Hip Hop music’s greatest talent ever heard on he radio. Kool DJ Red Alert is one of the first deejays to perform with the such trailblazing architects of hip hop such as Zulu Nation. The creativity and diversely talented Deejay has also inspired practically every other Hip Hop deejay spinning today. Red Alert built his radio show's fanbase by shouting out to listeners within in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut areas.
The iconic famed Deejay has been noted for breaking in such acts and artists as A Tribe Called Quest, Queen Latifah, and Black Sheep. Red Alert's status grew immensely after he premiered the record South Bronx by Boogie Down Productions on his KISS-FM weekend radio show. DJ Red Alert is officially a main staple in the Culture and Hip Hop and Rap Music community. He is not just a radio personality.
