The Travel Agency Brings Cannabis to NYFW at AKNVAS Spring/Summer 2025 Show
New York– The Travel Agency, a BIPOC-founded cannabis company and one of New York’s first legal dispensaries, made an exciting appearance at New York Fashion Week by partnering with the AKNVAS Spring/Summer 2025 runway show. With a focus on quality products and social responsibility, The Travel Agency added a unique layer of cultural relevance to the event, elevating the conversation around cannabis within the fashion industry.
As part of the AKNVAS SS25 show, The Travel Agency curated an exclusive gift bag for VIP guests, models, and influencers, packed with its signature products. These included Drew Martin Botanically-Infused Pre-Rolls, Ruby Farms Elderberry Sage Live-Resin Gummies, 1906 Bliss Drops, and The Travel Agency’s Iconic Black Dad Hat, which garnered attention from show attendees and industry insiders. Creative Director Christian Juul Nielsen commented, "I quite like the dad cap—it kinda has a Balenciaga vibe, and I can see many people wearing them."
The AKNVAS SS25 show itself was a breath of fresh air, with whimsical silhouettes, 3D floral appliques, and an array of textures, creating a lively and youthful atmosphere. Key guests in attendance included actress Kat Graham, Fashion Designer Jenna Lyons, TV personality Lisa Barlow, and Erin Lichy, who were spotted backstage admiring The Travel Agency’s thoughtfully curated gift bags.
The Travel Agency’s participation in NYFW further solidifies its growing influence not only in the cannabis industry but also within broader lifestyle and cultural spaces. As the first legal adult-use dispensary to be located on Fifth Avenue, The Travel Agency is at the forefront of the cannabis movement, seamlessly blending its premium products with a commitment to social equity and community engagement. With additional locations in Downtown Brooklyn and Union Square, the brand continues to expand its presence while staying true to its purpose-driven mission of diversity, sustainability, and reinvesting in the communities it serves.
