The 28th Annual Urbanworld Film Festival Continues to Elevate and Dominate

New York- The Urbanworld Film Festival kicked off its 28th year with resounding first day, celebrating the incredibly talented artists in film and television. The festival continues to amplify diverse voices and groundbreaking stories, always passing the torch to new independent creators who bring forth new thought provoking concepts and ideas to the big screen.

The Urbanworld Summit-Powered by Future Cast was held at the Lincoln Center. Guest panel speakers included Host Chiké Okonkwo, Urbanworld and Movie Pass Founder, Stacy Spikes, Founder & CEO The FutureCast, Julian Newman, Production Executive for Netflix, Noelle Green and many others.

The red carpet buzzed with excitement as stars, filmmakers, and fans gathered to celebrate this milestone year. Among the evening’s standout attendees were the iconic Lynn Whitfield, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Gary Dourdan, at this years undeniably amazing festival.
